Apple has added a $500 credit to the Apple Education Discount for teachers, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
The move is a significant increase from the $500 it had offered last year.
Apple said in March that the increase would help educators stay competitive with Amazon.com.
Apple has been expanding its partnership with the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) to include more education departments in its own schools and has said it is seeking to attract more employees to its education products.
